About

Launched by accident in 2012, the first set of Happyland prints were created as a (cheap) social prize.

Happyland Print Shop Inc. is a creative project by Winnipeg-based graphic designer, illustrator, and printmaker Kristin McPherson. Rooted in local pride and everyday absurdity, Happyland is inspired by the quirks and charm of “weird Winnipeg”—from its burger joints to apologizing buses, and everything in between.

Blending nostalgia with humour, Happyland’s collection of prints, wearable and home goods celebrate the overlooked corners of Winnipeg culture that often go unnoticed, but feel instantly familiar. Featuring bright, bold graphics with a vintage aesthetic, much of the work is screenprinted by hand – lending a tactile, crafted quality that reflects the DIY spirit behind the brand.

Keeping Winnipeg Tolerable

Happyland Print Shop Inc. is committed to supporting non-profit organizations that make our city a better place to live for all Winnipeggers. Each month, a percentage of shop sales, in addition to $5 from each Happyland logo pin sold, is donated to local charities that are working for positive change in Winnipeg, leading healing and reconciliation efforts, and providing services and assistance to our underserved communities.
